Emily Gomez Olsen

Learn More About Emily!

As an educator for over twenty-one years, Emily, a Middle School Science Teacher, has a wide range of valuable experiences inside a classroom. She spent the bulk of her career in high-needs, low-socioeconomic schools. Her experiences have focused not only on the academic needs of her students but more often on their emotional, behavioral, and social needs. Though she started teaching elementary school students, she quickly found her “home” in middle school as a science teacher, and, most recently, as a math teacher as well. She will tell you it is not for the faint of heart, but she loves it. In addition to teaching, Emily has been working for Kesler Science for almost three years, creating engaging and standards-based content.

“I grew up in a neighborhood similar to the ones my students live in. I have seen and experienced much of what they are going through and use that to connect with them. I encourage my students to set their goals high and try to give them the tools they will need to fulfill them.” Emily currently resides in NJ with her husband, son, and cat.

Learn More About Josie!

For those of you familiar with Kesler Science products, I am Chris Kesler’s mother. I am proud to say I was Chris’ first employee. I am originally from Iowa but have lived in Texas since graduating from college. I am also a mother to my daughter, Carrie, and a grandmother to three amazing grandkids. Most of my 25 years in education were spent teaching middle school science. Towards the end of my teaching years, I went back to school and got my Master’s degree in administration. I served as the Director of Instruction in a large middle school in suburban Houston. After retirement, I worked at a local community college for several years as a supervisor to teachers who were working on their alternative certifications. I also served as a science coach to a group of middle school teachers who needed support and mentoring. Currently, my time is spent working part-time for Kesler Science, playing pickleball, traveling, and spending time with grandchildren and friends.
